Triverse writes, "Just because we are so interested in the upcoming Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate by Capcom, here are a series of screen shots we got straight from Capcom."
Typical capcom. Repacked old game and coated it with a new paint to sell it for full price again. They could have at least put next gen graphics on it and add the great things that Dragon's Dogma introduced.
Like the other G remakes of the series, the graphics aren't so important as the amount of extra content it adds. This game unlike the original features new monsters, including sub-species, weapons and armor, and new items. As on the topic of the graphics, The monster hunter series has always had a roughly cartoonish appearance to it. The improved graphics is enough to retain that aspect while adding more detail to the models. As opposed to Dragons Dogma which was designed to be more realistic than what monster Hunter strives for. And cartoonish may not be the best term, but I can't think of a better one at the moment
It's a new console that's supposedly is more powerful than the current gen consoles. Adding more detail? It's the same exact thing. Look at the textures of zones, monsters, plant sprites, etc. Heck they could have even upped the polygon count but they didnt. Check out how the claws look on the monsters. I disagree with you calling Monster Hunter cartoonish. I love Monster Hunter but this is just awful. They may have added a little bit more content but they could have at least up the graphics.
Can't wait, March is going to be a beast of a month, GOW Ascension, MH3U, Starcraft 2 HotS and Tomb Raider.
My heart says yes, but my wallet says maybe....
Damn you capcom, I want a MH on the PS3 or vita at least.
There is always Portable 3rd HD.....oh wait....Japan only.....
I agree. This needs to come to PS3 either in this iteration or the next. I've played Unite more than any other game I have ever own, other than San Andreas perhaps.
Monster hunter 4 is looking real good too! I'm trying to remember if I saw a Nintendo Direct or a Capcom video on youtube. MH4 looks sick, trust me. 3DS visuals keep evolving better and better. Hopefully MH4 makes a Wii U/3DS collabo too.
