Parable: Dishonored Review

There was one major comparison heard when Dishonored was first announced, “Oh hey, it’s Assassin’s Creed in City 17!”. After spending a good twenty hours traversing Dunwall Tower and the surrounding areas I can say that past the obvious assassin comparison my personal view is that the title owes more to the Thief and Deus Ex games (perhaps not Invisible War) than the more contemporary Assassin’s Creed titles.

I never heard the comparison Assassins Creed in city 17. Sounds like something you made up for this article. Everyone was comparing it to thief and Deus Ex with Bioshock mixed in. But you cant just throw your opinion in an article as if its in fact what people are saying. Credibility is everything and you have lost mine.

I like this game a lot. It has a Deux Ex/Bioshock feel to it. It has a lot of freedom I really like. I love it when a first person game can be more than a military shooter. This was something out of left field and totally worth getting.

Must be quite a review if it makes the readers lose their own credibility.

Dude I saw my mistake too late to make the change but your comment made me cry I was laughing so hard.

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.
