There was one major comparison heard when Dishonored was first announced, “Oh hey, it’s Assassin’s Creed in City 17!”. After spending a good twenty hours traversing Dunwall Tower and the surrounding areas I can say that past the obvious assassin comparison my personal view is that the title owes more to the Thief and Deus Ex games (perhaps not Invisible War) than the more contemporary Assassin’s Creed titles.
It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.
There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.
Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.
Dishonored's engaging lore, creative levels, and timeless gameplay are well worth revisiting for fans of the immersive sim and stealth genre.
Daily Video Game writes: "Xbox Store has just kicked off Arkane Studios publisher sale, offering up to 80% off on some of the best games from Arkane Studios, including Deathloop, Dishonored, and Prey for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One right now!"
I never heard the comparison Assassins Creed in city 17. Sounds like something you made up for this article. Everyone was comparing it to thief and Deus Ex with Bioshock mixed in. But you cant just throw your opinion in an article as if its in fact what people are saying. Credibility is everything and you have lost mine.
