Scott Pilgrim is based on 8 bit games nintendo games, i think this article is intended for movies that may as well be video games.

Anyways to save people the chore of clicking through those pages

1. Sucker Punch
2. Speed Racer
3. District 9
4. The Matrix Trilogy
5. Crank ( love that movie so bad its good)
6. Total Recall remake ( haven't seen this, probably never will following my stance on remakes )

Ummm.... actually, Scott Pilgrim (the film) is based on the Scott Pilgrim comic series. A lot of the visual aspects of the movie are influenced by games.

Yeah, Magic_Spatula took the words out of my mouth. You could just as easily argue several of the movies on the list are also heavily influenced by games.

Wreck it Ralph had a lot of scenes that made it look like I was watching someone play a video game.
