Video Game Movies Are Finally Growing Up

Renowned for their terrible quality, video game film adaptations have disappointed gamers over and over again for the past two decades. Super Mario Bros., House of the Dead, Street Fighter... name a popular gaming franchise and chances are there's been a director that has completely destroyed the property when it hit the big screen.

This unfortunate trend, however, seems to be changing. (Angry Video Game Nerd, Culture, Industry, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, Resident Evil: Damnation, Wreck-It-Ralph)

And yet we're still going to get Resident Evil movies.
