I would love to know why people a disagreeing with your statement. Sony tablets barely feature which is hardly surprising given they are more expensive and not as feature rich as many lower cost tablets. If your going to price like an iPad then most consumers will go with an iPad.
The writer has clearly bought into MS's hype over surface and has already proclaimed it the second coming. Too many assumptions made and very little evidence to back any of them up, we just don't know enough about either of their plans to make such judgements.
What I see is a 'cool' but ultimately impotent gimmick that will not inspire developers beyond tacked on 'features' unless it gets the kind of forced-onto-you attention that Nintendo has put on its version of affairs.
In the end, all Sony has to do is bring out an app for all devices that controls the PS4 OS and boom, instant Playstation Glass.
PlayStation Glass. Really that's the best you could do to represent a company that everyone claims is the reason gaming exist , cause in their warped minds they forget or can't acknowledge Console Generation 1-6.
@shutUpAndTakeMyMoney As of right now that is how it stands ,but if MS realize they need more content to make it more game device oriented they could always partner or buy some one out ,just depends how dedicated they are to the concept.
What? Why are you bringing an argument I clearly didn't start into this? What has people claiming things about Sony have to do with anything I said?
You've obviously gotten the wrong end of the stick and assumed I'm trying to "represent a company", if I'm trying to represent anything it's my disgust over the ease at which these game 'journalists' buy into hype created by the big companies.
And don't forget playstation mobile that will allow them to deploy software on most Android tablets and phones. That is the easy way for them to provide the "second screen" experience.
Evidence that A, no research goes into gaming journalism, B, SONY need to market their stuff better if people don't know that they've had tablets since last year.
I'd say it's 50/50. I know about the tablet because I stay fairly up to date with gadgets but I've haven't seen any advertisement for Sony tablets since the original Tablet S where they showed swiping content from your tablet to your TV. Then you have your idiot "journalists" who don't do any research and post idiotic articles like this.

...or that it's already been released in America:

That would make it a real game device compared to MS game companion device.
