GameSpot - A sinister villain, some tough choices, and a new kind of multiplayer arena invigorate the reliably intense action in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Surprised at this score I have never been a fan of COD multiplayer since part 2. But I am looking forward to the Epic single player campaign.
Rated E for Everyone? I agree though. After Modern Warfare 2 (which I actually loved) the MP went downhill, FAST. Can this really invigorate the MP? Rated R for Reserved.
8/10 ? so much for being paid by Activision , gonna be honest , I didn't expect this score
Its an odd score considering the review, which is mostly positive except zombies. My guess is that he was never much of a fan to begin with. I havnt bought the last two mw's but i pre ordered this one as i loved zombies in black ops. It cannot be that bad if it added more features. Anyway, the campaign looks promising though i have never really enjoyed them as they feel too on rails for me.i havnt played multi alot since waw but i may give this a go. I like that they have changed it a bit. Lets see if the changes and my absence have made my heart grow fonder because i immediately felt regret when i clicked that button on amazon. I am a story guy and i love competitive multiplayer but i have been disappointed with the last 3 games (yes, i played a bit...didnt buy mw2 or 3).
I did.Acully i would of been surprised if it got above a 9.Its not that its bad,its just...lets just say it doesn't have the highest quality of stander's for gaming these days compared to other games like dues ex,skyrim,or halo 4.
Thought it was a well written and good review.
Gamespot's reviews often are.
The hilarious thing about the review, is that it's finally taken 2 years for a website as big as gamespot to finally say the series is getting stale
I am not a cod guy, i am not but i dont think they said it was getting stale. It is getting stale, but i think this review said that the story was good with a compelling story and choive and multi was good with new loadout and game modes. He said zombies is stale, but overall i would gather he meant that they finally the story and multi are not. Maybe its just me trying to convince myself since i broke down and bought it.
Gamestop you ballers. It is a rare pleasure to see someone finally give the right score to this game. Many other site are standoffish when give scoring this game. they drop 9 and 10 like it's raining from heaven. WOW. I am impress.
Not sure what you're talking about, the highest score is 9.4, most sites are giving it 8 or 8.5. Which is a good score but not a phenomenal one.
Looks like someone is not going to get a review copy of next year's COD. :)
My opinion of gamespot has gone up a notch. 8/10 is the most cod deserves these days. It's a score that shows that the game is class yet doesn't really push the series any further. Some of the scores (LOL IGN) are funny and clearly reviewed by people who probably eat sleep breath cod.
This review says: Campaign is good and offers replayability MP is good League Play is good Zombie mode is getting stale and you can't stream yet.
