It's Capcom, of course it's on the disc.

Reverent4180d ago

Literally just what I was about to say lol..

Katana Yamato4180d ago (Edited 4180d ago )

And nobody will care because they either won't buy it or will buy it. And in most scenarios they will buy it.

BTW someone from Capcom said the DLC won't be on the disc https://twitter.com/Brelsto...

Guess you're gonna have to demonize Capcom another day.

rezzah4180d ago

Yea that's what they said about RE6, until someone unlocked it for themselves. Thus, proving Capcom lied.

Katana Yamato4180d ago

DmC is not RE 6 though. And even if Hackers found some locked stuff, so what? Its not like everyone can play it anyone. But whatever...keep on complaining, that's what the DMC fanbase has amounted to anyway.

Hardly surprising, Capcom have to find ways to scrounge every last dime out of their customers somehow.

Katana Yamato4180d ago

Ya know DLC is optional you don't have to buy it. Also, this is a pre-order DLC, you can get it for free ya know. Also its only $8.99 which is much cheaper then what the DMC 3 SE cost at the time which was $30 or $40. Or ya know, wait for the PC version which probably will have all the DLC.

jc485734180d ago (Edited 4180d ago )

I rather buy a new Special Edition than to download the "optional" stuff. Look, if you like a game, you will more than likely buy the next edition even if it means spending a little more. Most customers like the feeling of owning "everything" on hard copy that you have "access" to without having to "get a key to unlock" the "hidden" content. They save on resources to produce them, but how do you expect people to buy them when it's all additive now? Not many people will, so why go through all that effort to make a few bucks from us? And like you said, it's 100% "optional" now.

Katana Yamato4180d ago

@Jc48573 But not alot of people want to spend more money and they want to play the game ASAP. Its fine if you want to wait for the GOTY or the PC version, but those editions only come along if the vanilla edition sells enough. Because if it doesn't there's no GOTY and probably the PC version will be canceled if sales aren't up to there projections.

Don't get me wrong, i like owning the hard copy myself, but in this day and age where digital is everything, alot of stuff is not going to be on disc since that costs more to make. And alot of people nowadays have access to the internet, i'm sure they outnumber the people who don't. So saying that alot of people don't have the resources to do that is probably minor to the people who do.

i will boycott
enough is enough!
I played half an hour of it at PAX. It's a dumbed down Heavenly Swords with cringe-worthy exposition and dialogue.

jacksonmichael4180d ago

You weren't going to already? Have you heard what those morons have said about Devil May Cry fans and the series itself?

Hanso4180d ago

No what did they say what do you mean?

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC4d ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Exvalos3d ago

What a weird name, it's essentially devil may cry, devil may cry lol

Cacabunga3d ago

Best to good for me: 3, reboot, 1, 5

2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me

Friendlygamer4d ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

monkey6024d ago (Edited 4d ago )

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya4d ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde4d ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

SeTTriP4d ago

This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.
