Will This Be SquareEnix’s Last Generation?

"Hisachi Suzuki, Square Enix’s former president, stated in a tweet that Square’s merger with Enix failed and the company had ‘lost its vision for the future.’ With Square Enix’s lackluster sales and questionable titles lately, it’s easy to see why the company might be having trouble lately. The company is not the video game giant it once was and Square Enix has not been able to keep up with the current trends in gaming" (Culture, Dev, Square Enix)

No:
Simply because Edios is doing so well and dragon quest and ff still sell in large amounts.

SE are in no trouble of bowing out but they do need to get priorities sorted sharpish.

Nope, but if their shareholders have any common sense, it will be Wada's last generation there.

Seeing as they recently unveiled a stunning next gen engine, I'd say no.

No, they made a lot of money this gen they just need to stop screwing around next gen.

Go back to their roots, sony and nintendo titles.

XIII and its sequel XIII-2 sold pretty well. Besides, they have all of Eidos' IPs which are also doing well.

God please no, these guys make great games.

No, their Eidos branch is too good and hopefully their game studios can change for the better in the next gen.

Their "Final" generation?? No, that's just a "Fantasy."

No i do not believe next gen will be Squarenix's last generation cause their brand name properties are big enough to keep them afloat.

However they really have a long way to go to improve on their business practices as well as development process. Next gen there should be no excuses for another FFvs.13 happening again. They need to manage their development schedules to improve the quality of their games.

If things like this still happen next gen than we will know it is a problem with the higher ups like Wada.

I agree, Wada is the problem.
