I disagree with two of these "truths". But Desmond really is boring.

Desmond had to be boring though. Who wants to play a game where the fun parts are the small segments in the modern day. Desmond's role is to drive the modern over arching story forward and he does that quite well (still a terrible undeveloped character though). I found the Desmond missions in AC3 pretty cool.

I also agree with you about the two other "truths"

Italian setting was my fav by miles, American revolution setting is the worst one so far.

i don't know about that. but the mission in ACIII was meh not like AC2 or AC1.

I actually do not think the American revolution had much more potential ( I do love how they show the hyprocrisy on the revolutionaries. Risky but payed off very well). I think they did very well with a setting that doesn't suit the AC universe. The urban areas were not dense which removed a key free running feature the AC universe has always had. It would have been better to have the Cival war over the American Revolution but still not great.

sadly Conner's story wasn't very interesting he seemed more like a lapdog in his own story unlike ezio or Altair who drove their storys maybe it will be fleshed out later with dlc.
