Review: Madcatz Xbox 360 HDMI Conversion Kit

Torrence Davis of The Bitbag reviews, "Microsoft first balked at the idea of including HDMI in it's original Xbox 360. While Sony gave it's gamers everything they needed for high definition gaming, you were stuck with either VGA or Component for your 360. I'll admit, back then I didn't care about HDMI either, that is until I ran out of component ports on my TV. Madcatz has come to the rescue with their Xbox 360 HDMI Conversion Kit."

I'm all for Microsoft improving their system, but I thought HDMI wasn't needed.

I rather microsoft say "HDMI is not needed" and then give to us... than for them to say what Sony says, "Game BC is needed" and then remove it.

That's retarded logic, bladestar. Giving it later screws early adopters.

And PLEASE. The last I checked only 1 SKU didn't have BC, if you want BC, pay the extra $.

I have a NTSC 60gb with 99% BC, and I haven't played a PS2 game in almost 6 months.

Apperantly so does Sony since they didn't include it in the box, Hell they didn't even include component.

What was it like opening the box, only to find AV? What was that? I didn't hear you.

Nothing? Because I already have plenty of HDMI cables lying around. They cost $10 at the most, get over it. Unless you're a retard and bought "Monster" cables, because THEY say they're better. But then again, that's probably why you're such a M$ co{klicker.

Not for gaming because Component carries upto 1080p signal for gaming.

However for movies best connection is HDMI for upto 1080p signals.

The Xbox 360 Elite gives you ALL the cables you need for HD gaming and HD movies unlike some...

It does not let you upscale DVDs. You can get 1080p on games, just like with component. Again, no 1080p for movies, including HD DVD.
