EA Won't Pull Medal of Honor: Warfighter Game or Content Despite Navy SEAL Controversy

MP1st - "We at MP1st have always felt that the Medal of Honor series has done an honorable job at portraying what it is that makes a soldier a soldier. In the latest installment, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, developers Danger Close even went as far as contracting several U.S. Navy SEAL members as consultants for a couple of days last summer in order to capture the level of authenticity the team was looking for. The result was a portrayal of realistic gear and tactics used by real Tier 1 operators, translated into the game world of Warfighter.

Apparently, however, this portrayal might have been a little too real." (Medal of Honor: Warfighter, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Well... That is what they get for not keeping their lips SEALed. Sorry but it had to be done. xD

Did anyone expect them to pull a multi-million dollar investment off the shelves because of this? And we're just talking gear and tactics, not actual scenarios. If the info is that sensitive, I'd draw as little attention to the game as possible. Do they think terrorists are using Warfighter as a training tool? Hell, the game has sold so few copies, I doubt anyone will notice (just kidding, just kidding... chill out).

What does this game have that wasn't already talked about extensively on Future Weapons? Nothing. Whats the problem?

I too do not see wtf they did wrong. I played the whole campaign thanks to red box in 5 hours. I saw nothing that I didn't already know about.

Same exact story here lol

Unless the Seals said "You know all that bs about caution? Yeah we don't do that, we blow up the door then storm in shooting everyone in slow motion!" If thats the secret, then okay.

haha

As much as I dislike EA most of the time, this one isn't their fault AT ALL. These highly trained....and decorated....Seals should know, above all, to do proper recon BEFORE taking any action. It's as simple as asking "Is this OK" or "Can I do this?".

Of course they can't pull it...the only people they've sold it to are the SEALs, so no sensitive information has been leaked anyways.

So ... who shot first? Osama or SEAL?
