Wii U is the Most Controller-Neutral Game Console Ever Made

GenGAME writes: "Wii U...take[s] unique advantage of all its possible controller options at launch. Nintendo is pointing all eyes at the Wii U GamePad, of course, but since only one GamePad controller can be supported at one time – at least at present – they’re going to need to bank on all those other options to have a truly successful console. And so far, Wii U seems to have embraced that strategy with open arms." (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Darksiders 2, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Nintendo, NintendoLand, Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, Wii U)

This
Is a good thing.

I hope more fps games take a page out of activision's book and implement wiimote controls for wii u fps games. That control set up made it difficult for me to go back to dual analogue controls.

agree..
people got stuck playing shooters with analog controls, they ignore to go with the wiiMote, where I think is the best way of playing shooter games

Will Black Ops 2 let us use wii-mote?! Will it let use use different controllers while in split screen (meaning I can play zombies with pro controller, while girlfriend uses wii-mote, both while in split screen)?

Ironic, considering the Wii was technically 10 y.o. hardware, by the time WiiU was announced. I guess the Wii is longer in the tooth than a saber tooth tiger.

Amazing Console, and Wii U is twice as powerful as

I think you forget to finish your thought...so let me finish it for you:

"...Wii U is twice as powerful as the Wii should have been, to be considered a current gen system."

If you were going to say 360 or PS3, then it's just as well you didn't bother finishing. :o

Can't wait to get my hands on the WII-u. I do hope some 3rd party controller maker out there makes a Gamecube modeled wii-u controller for Smash bros. 4.

Multiple options to play. No dev will bother taking full potential of neither of them. Multiplats will go for the pro controller and then some will try the touch screen (gimmicks as always).

Eventually somebody will make a Gamecube like controller for this ( 3rd party I'm assuming ), and it will actually sell well for an "off-brand" controller.
