PS3blog.net's PaulFierce has in on good authority that Jeff Rubenstein, is leaving Sony and will make an official announcement sometime today, Friday November 9.
(Industry, PS3, Sony)
That would be unfortunate if not terribly surprising. Jeff's always been a frank though friendly voice of the community. He's willing to ask the questions people want answers to, even when those questions are awkward.
Like "Why should people care about your game coming to PlayStation a year late?" "What can you tell us about the performance of your game on PS3?" "Your previous installment on PS3 was known to be buggy, have you made any improvements this time around?"
While it wasn't always the case, I've grown the respect the man.
I agree with this statement. He put developers on the spot all the time when it came to the PS3 versions of their games. I hope this isn't true but if it is I wish him the best of luck, and I relay my thanks for being there when PlayStation gamers needed a voice in the media.
Sorry, but he is a complete D**K. He banned me on the PlayStation blog because I said "How about those Philly" when the lost the NLCS to he Giants a few years ago.
Well he can take the EU blog pseudo-manager with him. That fred dutton is a freaking arrogant dude that has next to none connection/comunication with the community.
Hmmmmm.
Than again, I think they said they had something big planned for ep.50.
Never knew this guy existed.

Quite a while ago, they put a post on the blog that very clearly told commenters to stay on topic. You didn't you got burned. Move on.
The EU blog gets a new manager every year or 2.
