Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most talked about games at the moment and the title, set to be one of the biggest releases next year, with new information on the blockbuster franchise has been wanted for some time.

These screen shots are so damn impressive I don't even know where to start. The draw distance is insane. I can't wait to perch up on a building and blast mofo's away!!

Geth1gh. Your dead on buddy, as much as i love my ps3 console cant handle gfx like that at allll unless theyre exclusives. I rlly just feel like geting a bomb PC and hooking my dualshock up to play games if thats possible till PS4 is out, im sick of all the new games being shown off on PC and then console having so many jaggies, foggy, and bad textures.

I also don't blame him for being sick of the current gen consoles graphics. I know i am. I started playing Payday The Heist, first FPS ive played on PS3 since i moved over to PC a while ago, and i was shocked to see how absolutely terrible it looked. Fences flashed like a strobe light, you could see the less-than-720p resolution, blocky lighting, and just poor textures overall. I still love my PS3 and im getting PS All-stars day one, but come on, i'm completely 100% ready for an upgrade.
Even if you disagree and you're totally fine with your PS3, it's still 2012. Nobody should be called a 'spoiled brat' just for wanting a gaming PC or next-gen consoles. It really just makes you look like a douchebag.
it have better graphics / gameplay / visuals / story
it's bigger then all the rockstar games in every aspect
it gives me gta san andreas and iv feeling
it have a lot more vehicles
almost all san andreas features such as building muscles , biking , exploring , flying jets , going to the mountains and i bet they will put weird stuff such as big foot ...
i didn't read everything but this is not disappointing , it's the biggest and the most exciting game ...
just look at this , you can go anywhere you want !!! it's just crazy >.< ...
Whats disappointing is switching between 3 main characters is the main selling point.
They already confirmed mini games gonna be lesser then previous games but supposely more fun, which i doubt its gonna be significant. No property purchases, so where are we gonna put our collection of exotic cars or panes. No relationships, only customisable clothes.
Whats the use of a bigger world when there is not much to do. Its gonna be an upgraded GTA 4.
Because to me it always seems to make the game feel less personable. When you spend the game playing multiple people it makes it feel like your being fircefully shifted around from character to character and it makes games less enjoyable.
Not always, but I really think we should give R* a chance. It seems like you'll be playing as a crew of 3 people, kind of like an rpg or a fps that has a squad of people (like Bad company for example, only all the people in your squad/crew will be playable) I think that this could be great if they do it right, and I have faith in R*. thats my speculation any way.

As for the 3 main protagonists, I'm sceptical, but not disapointed as lots of people seem to be. It's like GTA IV complete edition in one game. Rockstar have yet to disappoint me & I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon.

The three protagonists thing sounds exciting if you ask me, especially if they've implemented it as well as it seems like they have. What I don't understand though, is that if you can switch characters at any time in the world, what do the other two characters do while you're playing as the third one? Do they just stand there?
Still, it could lead to some really interesting set pieces and a really interesting narrative.
I've read on an other site that the rest of the protagonists will return to their daily occupations while you're controlling one of them. So you could find yourself in a "funny situation" if you get back in one of them.
Although the character switching doesn't sound amazing at first read, I think if they utilize them well and get some deep backgrounds into them and what they do, it could be possible if later in the story mode they some how meet each other and possibly team up in the final mission to take down whoever is the main bad guy. they could use their specific skills to work together and YOU have the option to think about how your going to use their particular skill sets to beat the story mode.
On a side note, those Jet and skyscraper pictures look absolutely MIND BLOWING xD Making them by Desktop backgrounds :)
If I read the gameinformer article correctly, they work together throughout the entire story. I think peoples main concern with the multiple characters issue, is that people have this fear that they won't get properly fleshed out as a character, but from what I read in the gameinformer article, the guys at rockstar have put crazy detail into the city of los santos, so I don't see why they don't do that with the protagonists. If it's about the fear of CONSTANTLY switching, I think houser just worded that wrong, im confident that you will be able to spend as long as you want with the character of your choice.
ahh interesting. you have a point there actually, its going to be great to see what particular thing each protagonist does throughout their respectful story modes.
I read that on one of the missions, you can control one guy who has a hostage and a pistol which you can use to take out enemies with or you can choose to swap character during the moment and switch to another who is using a sniper from a far and take them out that way.
so if its shit like this, it will add replay-ability big style as there will be multiple ways to go about doing a mission..which is awesome
Detailed Landscape design, authentic lighting and more seamless physics should add to a more action impressionable feel. I'm sure Rockstar will have ramped up character action physics away from GTA IV's cumbersome combat so i'm psyched for the new choiced emphasis to be had.
