I'm 35 but don't have kids, but I'm still super hyped to pick up my Wii U at midnight. Maybe not the most excited I've ever been for a console, but pretty damn excited.
thats funny in my soon to be 4 year old sons room is my old NES & SNES. However he dosent use them because we have emulators of them on my phone which he plays all the time lol
If i had a home with children & a woman that loved to play casual games, i wouldnt mind getting one but i just have a girlfriend that doesnt mind killing & fighting ppl in the games i have so this doesnt interest me.. I dont need to share my TV with anyone so the gamepad play is a feature i wouldnt even use.. I will buy it for zelda, starfox, metroid, smash bros, & POSSIBLY mario kart cuz i always loved those series' but until then, i have no use for it..
Zombie U, bayonetta 2, & Rayman look fun but not system sellers to me.. I will buy orbis day 1 cuz i know for a fact that it will recieve full 3rd party support as well as a well established PSN that will continue to grow.. With nintendo its a roll of the dice with 3rd party games i like & system features.. Its all about 1st party n i dont like the gamepad so the pro will be my main control method.. $300 aint bad to me for what it can do but needing a headset, HDD, games, etc will add up & im not paying for it if theres nothing i want right now..
I really hope you fans enjoy it because opening & setting up a new console is so damn exciting! The smell, the feel, the delicate nature in which u handle it are all like a high.. I hope miiverse & the nintendo network arent cheap either.. U guys enjoy the hell out of it.. Im jealous because i would love to buy a new console.. Actually considering trading in my ps3 mid to get the new slim AC bundle for black friday just so i can open up a fresh console that at least looks new & is more space & power efficient... Good luck with this one, its my first nintendo system (handhelds included) that i wont be buying launch day
im sorry but was this really the moment to cease trolling opportunity? he is not so much talking about what a system offers but the excitment of passing the torch. you must be part of gen next. this is a gen x rated article. i too have three daughters and they are supeer excited about the release of the wii u. lol, they even roll their eyes at me when im watching or reading things on the M rated games cause they just see those as time they wont get to play. happy gaming to all
If there was one game that I wished I had kids, it would be SMG2. The characters were so endearing that I couldn't help but get teary-eyed at the sight. I was touched.
I'm anticipating the Wii U in thanks to Nintendo reintroducing me to video games with the Wii, making it enjoyable again.
I agree with the article. I've never been excited for a console more than the Wii U. I don't know what Sony and Microsoft is planning for the coming generation but it won't be anything compared to Nintendo's offering.
To ever have kids, but I definitely hear what the author is saying.
Which makes me remember my most anticipated console ever...And I think that would be the SNES.
All game consoles are important for different reasons
