Is it Red Dead Redemption 2 they're making, or just Red Dead 3?

I guess technically it is 3 but I think everyone considers Red Dead Redemption to be a spiritual successor to Red Dead Revolver. I consider Redemption to be its own series, so it is Red Dead Redemption 2 in my mind.
