Sounds like a love/hate game based on the reviews so far. I've seen positive reviews from GameInformer, GamesRadar, and GameSpot but less enthused reviews from IGN and 1UP. Some say the racing is really fun/exciting, while others deem it dull.
I'm interested to see what the other top guns (Destructoid, G4, GameTrailers, Joystiq, etc.) have to say.
Don't count on Destructoid to give it a glowing review... Sterling is reviewing it, and from what he tweeted last nite, he couldn't even get into the Multiplayer all night..
"...if I do end up losing a race, you want to feel like it was your fault, not because of some deus ex machina that just happened to award first place based on a digital whim."
This was and is my biggest complaint about the last few Mario Kart games. So frustating to be riding in first place flawlessly just to be taken out by some garbage racer with a lightning or blue shell.
