Dishonored Review | thextremepulse

It is way too easy for people to get stuck in a routine of playing the same mundane games which force you down a narrow path without giving you the choice of how you’d like to play it. Deus Ex is an example of a game which gives you the freedom to decide how to attempt a mission, or how to interact with another character. Dishonored takes this further, and enhances the freedom within the story and puts the entire game into the player’s hands. It is way too easy for people to get stuck in a routine of playing the same mundane games which force you down a narrow path without giving you the choice of how you’d like to play it. Maybe a while ago. But I think these days people are busy raging over Halo 4's 5.5/10 review and Little big planet karting's 5/10 review lol

No one will care, it's not an exlcusive game therefore it will be spared the rage and "media bias" this site tends to throw around for certain games.

Not confused by the score given some parts of the review seem nothing but positively glowing!

Just had a quick look at the review and they confused the bone charm perks with the abilities you unlock by finding runes throughout the game...not sure how they managed that as they talked about the runes and the abilities like Blink just before it.
All in all, it's a very positive review with a strangely low score. Presentation, graphics and sound scores are very low for some reason, despite them having no problems with the graphics. It's basically a 7/10 score they gave, and I think the score is more than a little harsh considering the review text has only minor criticisms.
Personally, I thought the game was great. You can become quite over powered by the end, but frankly, that just added to the fun for me.

I agree with the score. I found Dishonored boring.

The positives that the reviewer listed compared tot he negatives doesn't reflect the score.

If I had just read that bit, sounded like the reviewer would give the game a 85/100 or something.

I didn't mind the story at all. Loved the gameplay and ...

I am probably going to get lots of disagrees with this, but I actually prefered the LOOK of this game over Uncharted 2/3.

Now yes Uncharted 2 is better GRAPHICALLY, but I loved the art style of Dishonored more, making it more pleasing to look at.
