New PlayStation 3 500GB Super Slim Bundle Listed By Retailer, Adds a Year of PlayStation Plus

Currently, the only way to get the 500GB Super Slim PlayStation 3 is if you pick up the Assassin’s Creed III 500GB Bundle for $299.99. It looks like all of that is going to change though, as VideoGamesPlus has posted a listing for the system without Assassin’s Creed III. - PSLS (PS3, Tag Invalid)

Holy Crap! Only problem. You'll wish for more disk space. LOL
TrendyGamers  +   1120d ago
Yeah, with Resident Evil 5 coming to PS+ tomorrow and all the other freebies, your HDD space will disappear fast!

I love ps+ ... i only signed up for 3 months to test the it's about to run out in 2 weeks so ill just sign up for the year. It's absolutely the most bang for your buck you can get right now aside from Steam on PCs.

Not a fan of RE 5 but ill get the trophies for it and co op it with someone for the hell of it. It's a free damn game.

You guys gotta be kidding, i've had a 320gb drive in my PS3 for the past four years, i've got everything that PS+ can offer and game installs from about 30-40 disc based games and i still have about 80gb free.

500gb is plenty!

The good thing about ps+ is the amazing amount of content.

The bad thing about ps+ is the amazing amount of content.

I literally haven't even started half the games I downloaded for ps+ because I don't have the time to play everything. There are some games I have on disc that I can't play because I ran of of HDD space and I don't have room for the installs!

... life is good! ;-)

500GB is not plenty.

I have a similar amount of content as you listed on my PS3 as well, but then you add in the games from the "Welcome back Program", DLC, PSN games you purchased separately, full game trails (download and delete these), and full games you purchase from the store and that 320GB is GONE. I probably have around 50GB, but just knowing more stuff is coming to PS+ means I'll need another HDD soon.

I'm looking to upgrade to 1TB soon.

Before anyone ask, the inFamous games are HDD killers weighting in at nearly 20GB when you download all 3 (1, 2, and DLC). I've downloaded Borderlands 1 since it was on sale on PSN for $7.50 or $15 along will all 4 DLC's that's like another 15GB.

Great deal. I wonder if they'll add, 'With 45 free games' on the box? A few people will double take if they do.

edit: seriously, Sony just amaze me. It looks like they've gone with saving $200 on games instead of 45 free games (which in my opinion, would be far more enticing)

Im pro Sony and all but I dont think they are clever enough to think of that, or theyll put it in small print somewhere
Knight_Crawler  +   1120d ago
Agreed...Not sure wh no one in Sony marketing department thinks of this stuff.

The word free always catures my attention, just make a PS+ commercial showing all the benefits of PS+ or do a comparison with Live...hell i know you want to stay classsy but when the other competor is eating your lunch you have to throw a few jabs.

If you're willing to brave the hoards of people PS3's will likely be $199 on Black Friday and come with 2 of the recently release Saga Collections:

God of War Saga
inFamous Saga
Killzone Saga
Ratchet and Clank Saga

Radio Shack has their ad up, and they're selling a

250GB PS3 Super Slim (SS)
Uncharted Dual Pack (1 & 2)
inFamous Saga

Plus you get $10 back in-store credit for every $50 you spend, so buy something else to get your price up to $250 so you can grab you a $50 gift card while you're at it (they also have a 4GB Xbox 360 for $169, but nothing with it).

Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, etc... should have an even better sale than that.

what the hell is with all these bundles coming out?
knifefight  +   1120d ago
I really wish they'd throw together a bigger variety of Vita bundles while they're at it.

That is a deal and a half! Especially all those free games :)

On Black Friday, Radio Shack has the PS3 250GB w/ Uncharted & Infamous collections for $219.99, does say select stores though.
TrendyGamers  +   1120d ago
It will be $200 everywhere else.
JonnyBigBoss  +   1120d ago
I want to buy one just to sleep with it in my arms.

I need Moar gb!! Gimmie more gb lol

Sometimes 500gb isn't enough people like who use their ps3's as a media hub. I fill my ps3 up with lots of podcasts, albums, game ost's, psn videos, ps3youtube downloads, filelocker video downloads and of course lots 'O' games.

500GB is quite enough plus a Terabyte sized HDD is slightly bigger and might not fit into the PS3.

Think that's a very good deal, especially for first time PS3 gamers' and collectors.

These deals are tempting me to get another one. I'd probably give my current one to my parents. Or maybe to my sister for my nephews to play.
DivineAssault  +   1120d ago
i know exactly how u feel.. This new model is really tempting to buy.. I already have a 500GB HDD & the mid slim version so it would be such a waste of money.. Idk tho, if i see a good enough deal, ill do it.. Better to just hold off tho.. Orbis is coming and that will be worth waiting for

Wow if Xbox 360 had a similar type of bundle, I would actual think about getting Xbox. Just saying.
