That's right. Old Navy will be giving away a copy of New Super Mario Bros U to every customer that spends at least $40 in store on Black Friday morning. Additionally they will give out a free Wii U system to select instant winners in store too
That is awesome and definitley worth the price.
We need Black Friday in the UK
Be careful what you wish for... Black Friday is a dangerous day of selfish and evil deeds... So much shoving... trampling.... OH GOD NO DON'T CRUSH ME IN THE DOORS AHHHHH!!!! O.o;;; ...if the news I always hear about it is true, anyway... never been myself really. ^_^;;
Depends on the store and how they handle it. Vouchers/tickets tend to work very well and avoid confrontations. It's Walmart that lets people just charge in when the store opens. Frankly, there's such a thing as TOO good of a deal, too. You might be clearing inventory, but you can't practically give things away for free and not expect competition to not get horrendously heated.
no wonder i blocked u stage88 ur from UK talking crap. anyhow, FREE super mario bros U with 40.00 purchase?? im there.
Considering the WiiU games cost $60, this is a hell of a deal. Even if I don't wear clothes from old navy, that's still $20 off. Plus I guess I'd have gifts for people.
I Tshirt is a tshirt regarldess of who made it and they have their uses no matter what style you wear or as gifts true. Guess I will be doing the same myself while supplies last I am sure
If this game is going to be easy, than I'm not buying it seriously I have like literally over 500 lifes in new super mario bros 2
The number of lives you can obtain is pointless if you cannot get past the levels with them. The game doesnt become easier simply because it gives you more chances. If it was truely easy your complaint would be based more on level design and level difficulty not the number of 1 ups
that too, I just took an example of easiness in that game
But how many copies per store? Great to know as some people might be able to pick it up, but it's not like they're going to have a crate of them per store. My guess is somewhere between 10-30 per store, and be out an hour after opening (or less). It could be even less like 6 per store or something. People that want them have a chance, but also at a cost of not going somewhere else first (if they're into such a thing). Sad thing is alot of people will take the copy and not have any intention to ever buy a Wii U, and just take it because it's free. I bet half of them at least are wasted like that. Because maybe one or two offered will be turned down, everyone else will snatch it up. Old navy's got some decent stuff. Not really for trendy stuff, but basics. Undershirts, boxers, small blankets/towels, etc. Pretty cheap too. Or like others said, gifts for xmas. But my guess is you'll have to line up for it before it opens, otherwise they'll be out. I'd suggest calling up the store a few days early and finding out how many copies they'll have, and then make a judgement on whether you think you can be that # customer or earlier, because really, who ISN'T going to spend $40 bucks if they go there?
2yrs ago they were giving away lego rock band, to the first 6 customers. so your probably right with the limit to 6 per store
Anybody buying a Wii U on launch day is probably already going to be buying NSMBU anyways, who is gonna wait a week in hopes they are one of the first few in line to get one, probably gonna have to line up at midnight to be one of the lucky ones
