Five Historical Eras The Assassin’s Creed Franchise Should Explore Next

Uproxx - The Assassin’s Creed franchise has always been as much about the historical eras that it explores as it is about stabbing people. As flawed as the franchise can be at times, their historical research tends to show in their work and the little tidbits that turn up while you play the games. (Assassin's Creed, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

The era of bug free releases...

It isn't that bad imo.

It's by far the buggiest AC yet. I have to reload checkpoints a few times a day because the character I'm following stops moving or the objective doesn't update. It's ridiculous for the amount of time the game was in development for.

I must be one of the lucky ones to not experience that.

I first I thought there was a issue with one of the AIs following me, but then I realised that I was telling them to stop following me. I had to run up to them and press O again for them to follow me.

Still compared to some linear games, certain issues can be understandable. One of which I randomly came across was a layer of snow higher than the regular layer you walk on. I mean if the angle of the camera was shifted to looking slightly upwards you would see 2 layers, the one you are standing on and the other your feet seemingly disappear in.

By understandable I mean issues that are found in the open world, it is hard to go through and fix every little mistake in a open world. However issues in story missions are expected to be better cared for, as they are the most linear aspects of the game.

Lol! But to he honest I haven't really come across many bugs. My only problem is it took so long to actually get into the game as Connor!

I was confused at first, but then remembered that the devs mentioned that Connor is mixed. This isn't a spoiler as it has been revealed prior to the release of the game (for those who think it is).

So I foresaw the situation that was to occur, and I was obviously right. However that twist at the end of the introduction was a big "wtf", I am sure it was for everyone who are fans of the series.

I'm surprised they haven't had a zombie mode :) Just kidding, please don't...

I think the series needs a dedicated future version with a sci-fi feel. What better way to follow-up Assassin's Creed 3: Now with Bears?

If not the next title, then some future release. I love the historical vibe, but given how this game jumps all over time, isn't it only a matter of time before it jumps into some sort of scifi/future for the entire game? There's quite a bit they could do with that and I think it makes logical sense given the story direction thus far.

lol ikr, itd be terrible and would ruin the reputation of the title AC.
