Panasonic plasma TVs: Now with added Wii-proofing

At its 2008 product showcase in Valencia, Panasonic revealed that every year, literally some people manage to hurl their Wii controllers at their expensive flat panel TVs. Anyone who reads gadget sites will have read these tales of woe and possibly even seen the photos. The good news is that Panasonic has created a Wii-proof TV. Well, it's Wii-proof as long as you don't have the lobbing arm of a caber thrower.

People like feeling they are in the TV. Big screen and controls that bring you into the game is a very good thing.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this.

I guess people like to blow those cheap graphics up so you can count every pixel in those low polys.

The point of Wii proofing a HDTV for a Wii, what the hell? The thing has 8-bit graphics to start with, What you wanna see some SHARPER Squares on those 8-bits?
