They have been stuck recently, trying to cater more to the western market has had a negative backlash. COupled with there slow development times with versus and the churning out of 13 games isn't helping.
Tripled with the fact they are struggling to loaclize agito and no word on kh 3 (two very anticpated games)
They have done well with the edios side of things and to be fair they did listen to fan feedback and made 13-2 a lot better than 13 but yeah this gen hasn't been too kind on SE
I am afraid. Square isn't the same with FF. I understand modernizing things, but so far they have shown mediocrity with the franchise. It's not a good feeling losing hope with your favorite developer.
All the Hitman and Tomb Raider stuff...when the hell did that even happen?! I must have been off the internet that day.
Well Hitman and Tomb Raider, Deus ex, etc. are all Eidos games that aren't made by the teams they have in Japan. And IMO the FF games aren't mediocre, they're still better than most other games, but I do agree they should be more traditional than 13 was.
