Hitman vs. Assassin's Creed

Eskimo Press: "There are plenty of games around these days that have you stepping into the shoes of a trained killer and task you with eliminating a valuable target. With the release of Assassin’s Creed 3 upon us, and Hitman: Absolution coming out next month, we take a look at these two franchises and see which one comes out on top in simulating the assassin experience." (Assassin's Creed III, Hitman: Absolution, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Hitman has always been one of my favorite franchises. I cannot wait fire Absolution.

Hitman is many times superior

They are very different games as the writer points out

AC is about big open worlds and history. Hell AC3 doesn't have many assassinations, however there are many different types of gameplay in AC

Hitman on the other hand is more focused on the assassinations, and offer smaller areas to explore, but a lot more player choice

If anything the comparison should be hitman to dishonored, and AC to an open world game like red dead

Hitman 2 was great and deserves an HD remake, IMO.

Never played an Hitman game. Played the first 3 AC games. Not much interested in either right now.

I don't know how the hell I'm going to finish AC3 before Hitman comes out. I love both franchises and don't want to have to put off playing either.

Surely hitman

Hitman is definitely the better series.

Hitman is the better game, but AC3 is best AC game so far.

AC3 has the worst ending and most bugs.
AC2 is the best AC so far.

The Hitman games give you the freedom do take on the assassinations however you like. The Assassins Creed games smack you on the hand and yell "NO!" if you show any initiative. So yeah, Hitman by a mile.

When it comes to Sneaking i will choose 1-Snake, 2-Agent 47.
Everyone else is irrelevant.

Hitman is shite and when i say shite i mean absolutely brilliant!

One of my favorite game series, just so much fun to play, Dishonored actually kinda reminded of it and made me want it even more, the wait has been way too long for Agent 47 to appear this generation.

47 doesn't need to freerun, he just steals your clothes and walks right on by.
MasterD919  +   1188d ago
I bought AC3 and have Hitman: Absolution pre-ordered (since I am a die-hard fan and own all of the prior games).

I recommend both, but definitely Hitman is a crowd pleaser.

Cant compare the two games really, Assassins Creed has always been more about combat where the Hitman games are all about stealth and planning.

Now as for the protagonist. 47 is unrivaled. I love Altair and Ezio and Connor, but no, there is no stopping 47.

BRING ON ABSOLUTION.....also AC III was incredible.
