It’s impossible to start talking about Dishonored without mentioning the high level of anticipation that it had, especially from us at Hidden Audio Log. It was our most anticipated game of E3, the game box itself has “Winner of over 50 E3 Awards” printed on the front, and it’s taking Bethesda’s traditional holiday release timeframe which is usually occupied by mammoth titles such as Fallout 3 and Skyrim. The hype was seemingly well-deserved; Dishonored was a striking looking game. With its unique “whalepunk” setting and first-person assassination gameplay, nothing else this holiday season looked like Arkane Studios’ latest. Dishonored looked and felt new, a true breath of fresh air in a year full of game titles ending in numbers.
