Forbes writes: Assassin’s Creed 3 is out, and Ubisoft’s sprawling, if inconsistent, look at the beginnings of the United States is one of the best
games of the holiday season. But there’s no rest for the wicked – this is an annualized franchise, and the team is likely hard at work on the next game already. Now that the Revolutionary War is out of the way, the entire unimaginable parade of weirdness that is early American history is available to Ubisoft, and here’s where I think Connor should go next.
Or the french revolution although I think that was before the american revolution
(French Revolution began 1789, American Revolution ended 1783).
The French Revolution would be the ideal setting for the next iteration of the AC series, as it occurs within the same time-frame and would be well-suited to explore the same themes (despotism, liberty, revolution, corruption). Not to mention there are many, many historical figures present that people can't seem to get enough of--Napoleon Bonaparte for starters. Also: Marie Antoinette, Voltaire, Louis XVI, etc., etc.
It was a volatile, chatoic time period. It would be -ideal-.
Not to mention the fact that, with the new wilderness the Anvil Next engine can handle, they'd actually be able to do the French Countryside justice.
Honestly I think they will go to present day or the future, just based of the ending. I think the story will revolve around stopping the threat implied at the end of 3.
My guess is the games will follow around a new character in order to stop _________ from ________since ______ is _______
I kinda wish they do a little more with connor, but new settings bring new gameplay
Hoping for occupied India, or feudal japan
Creeping around the store and hiding in stacks or 25% discount off goods.
@MattyG
I hope they take their time when creating new AC games, they had the 2012 excuse, but now thats thats done... they should take their time
