Game Informer - If you're like me, Halo's confusing plot has always taken a backseat to blasting aliens. Still, if you want a refresher before jumping into Halo 4, here's what I remember. You're welcome.
(Halo, PC, Xbox, Xbox 360)
True. If you really care about the story you will know about it. If you think it's too hard to understand you aren't a real fan IMO. You don't know Star Wars if you have only watched a couple of the movies.
There's a dude in green who shoots things (presumably Native American because he's a Chief), a little blue woman (smurf?) that talks to him in his head (most likely a hallucination). A car that's named after a pig, some Covenant of religious alien things with weird lips and a floating ball that betrays you.
Its called the Call of Duty syndrome...this generation of gamers have been infected and now all they want is multiplayer with Kill Streaks and Perks :(
The Mayans predicted this epidemic and knew that the only cure is the end of the world in Dec 2012.
I don't get how this series could be confusing. Except for the spinoffs which are more or less a midquel or a sequel. I guess God of War's story is confusing for some too.

That's what I got out of the story so far...
Edit: @2.1.1 -- I was trying to be funny, which it seems like i clearly failed at.
