GTA V PC Release: Why Players Shouldn’t Worry

Techtorial: Here's a data analysis showing why players shouldn't worry about GTA V's release on PC after it launches next year. As usual, the devils is in the details. (Grand Theft Auto V, PC)

i think most people are worried about GTAV for pc is because of RDR which never came to pc and probably never will

But what people fail to realize is that Red Dead was developed by Rockstar San Diego and they don't normally have PC releases...

Rockstar North is developing GTAV and they have released every GTA on PC for the past few years..

It's obviously coming to PC but is it going to like GTA IV and be like a year after the console release? Probably. I thought R* said they were trying to close the gap between console and PC release, it was only a week with MP3.

I guess it's more difficult to port for an open-world game.

Better late than never tbh but in all fairness, if you can afford to be a pc gamer, you can probably afford to own at least one console too.

But some of us don't want to play with shit graphics, lower player count, and a controller. Also, I don't really want to buy it twice or have to renew my xbl gold account to play mp. I think I'll wait.

Your comment and way of thinking is exactly why PC gamers don't really like these delays. The more games and time are delayed, the more likely PC gamers are tempted to get a console.

After that, why should they bother with the delayed PC games anymore when they already have a console version NOW?

It's the the same reason they have exclusive titles. Exclusives and delays are ways to get impatient gamers to convert to their system.

I can afford a console whenever I want and backup it with regular purchases along side my PC fix. But I like the PC even more. Just last night I had a little surprise when there was Halloween discounts (on Steam and Gamersgate) for a lot of games that I have missed out on including Condemned: Criminal Origin that I have been looking for years. Now, that's a very long delay. So what's the problem with waiting for a couple of months for GTAV?

Why do I need to get a console version if I'm already determined to wait for the PC version?

If it gets released, I just hope it runs well.

I don't mind a wait for it, but as nofallouthero said RDR not coming to the PC was just a huge disappointment--no matter the reasons behind it. Its just easier to plan for the worst and be pleasantly surprised than being disappointed again.
