Assassins Creed: Liberation Is What Vita Is All About, Blown Away

PushStartSelect: "After playing Resistance on my Vita I was scared for the Vita. I was scared it would get stuck with crap and this was the best it was going to get. However Ubisoft has raised the bar by a mile with Assassins Creed, and now I remember why I purchased a Vita. Anyone bashing the game can’t possibly understand what they are playing, in their hand!" (Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation, PS Vita)

Amazing news, lets hope that they make a new one again? I would love a GRAND THEFT AUTO game exclusively made for the Vita. I wouldn't even mind Grand theft auto: San Andreas on the Vita.

The GTA games for the PSP were brilliant. I hope they bring out GTA for the Vita some day.

Yeah, imagine one running on the RAGE engine.

In due time. The vita is slowly gaining speed. Wait for the big Sony franchises to release and big third party like GTA, Final Fantasy, Bioshock and so on. I have faith it will succeed.

Bottomline is, it's good. Its a bit unfair to compare it to ac for console but as a mobile game, it's good. Too bad they did a terrible job at optimising the game for the ps vita. I hope this wont discourage Ubisoft to develop another game like this.

I'm hoping for the appropriate patches to address these issues. I'm really enjoying the game a lot!

They already released one patch. I hope that if they ever get around to a sequel then they ditch the persona system or make it more flexible.

Ah using a booth to change forms, good to know. Cannot wait to buy and play this game! :)

The first couple hours, i admit i was disappointed in it.. After i got further in, my whole outlook on it changed dramatically.. Its effin awesome now.. Not perfect cuz the usual AC bugs are present but its still amazing & ITS IN YOUR HANDS! I cant believe that there was so many NPCs roaming the streets as well as such a large open world.. Other handhelds that try to make open landscapes have an empty & lifeless world to explore with minimal detail.. This is on console level

Now this isn't even a review but he's 100% right. The game is ground breaking and its a handheld game. Up there with the greatest handheld games ever created. No lie the only reason some reviewers (especially ign) are so off on vita is the fact the compare it to consoles. I'd like them to compare the 3ds to the wii or the Zune to Xbox heck the don't even compare iPod to the iPad . If u own a vita this game is a must buy this artical is 100% right even on the flaws it mentioned

I love this game so far. I got more than what I expected, the free running, the combat and the climbing are all exactly the same as in the console AC games.

The framerate chuggs sometimes in the city when changing the camaera around but that doesnt effect gameplay. There are some forced crappy touchscreen controls, but there are also good uses of the touchscreen as well(having the OPTION to use them in the pause menu, tapping the guy you want to target, or tapping the mini-map to bring up the large map).

Other than that it is an AC game and is more like the console games than I could imagine. I really enjoy this game and want to see more games like this in the future that actually use the VITAs potential.

Too bad these videogame reviewers are doing gamers a disservice because its not "better" than the console AC games so they bash it. Too bad they forgot that it is a handheld and it is delivering awesome openworld gameplay with all the AC stuff completely intact. If this game was on 3ds or iphone with far worse control than the vita, then reviewers/media would shit their pants and talk about how its really pushing the hardware and the devs took a huge risk(too bad the 3ds couldnt run this game at all). But hey this is the Vita, and morons believed it would be a ps3 so when it doent have full ps3 level games tehy use that as an excuse to take points off the games review and want to pretend like real gamers dont understand that this is a handheld experience and you WONT FIND IT OR ANYTHING CLOSE ON ANY OTHER HANDHELDS.

The closest portable experience to this you will get anywhere else is on a gaming laptop with an xbox controller and a copy of one of the AC games on PC.
