Will Star Wars games still suck?

With Disney recently acquiring LucasFilm and promising new Star Wars movies, will this change?

Disney Interactive Studios’ and Warren Spector’s Epic Mickey was relatively well-received by both critics and gamers.

Could this save the future of Star Wars video games? (Culture, Disney Epic Mickey, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, PS3, Star Wars Episode I: Racer, Star wars Kinect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars:The Old Republic, StarWars Force Unleashed II, Wii, Xbox 360)

Hmm.. hard to say. its not like Star Wars games have always sucked, but we certainly have been in a sucky-drought for the past 6 or 7 years. I'm cautiously optimistic for the future of SW and games.. I just want SWBF3 so bad though.

But I really hope episode 7 8 and 9 have more of that "used galaxy"/western feel to them that was missing from the dull prequels

Disney did a really good job with putting their stamp on the Kingdom Hearts games. I, like most, was skeptical at that marriage but now it's one of my favorites series.

Just when you thought Lucas couldn't do anything worse - he turns it over to the pros.

Well i don't think they can get any worse then what's come out this generation. so I'm hoping for the best.

At least now I see a potential future for BF3

and, well, if the word "kinect" happens to appear in front of every star wars game title from now on, then yes... they will suck.

lol, YES, is there any doubt?, From the Publisher's perspective its all about the quick buck, the $$$, so as Big & Popular as the Star Wars franchise is, what is the incentive to cater to a "Core
Gamer" experience when you already know you can sell Millions & Millions with a
"Half-Baked " game & not spend a ton of $$ to make it a great game. You pay-off the gaming press, most reviews are favorable upon release, they say its Rocks, its the best, 9.0!! etc etc, the sheeple casual crowd buy in & purchase, even though Core Gamers know its not. And dont expect anything to change either.
