EDGE: "ACIII cuts back on Revelations’ limper additions (there’s no tower defence here) and adds substance of its own, including a brave new world. The result is a refreshed, rejuvenated Assassins’ Creed; a solid foundation upon which the yearly iterative release cycle can be maintained; and a sprawling, detailed adventure to enjoy." 8/10
In this case I am just tired of AC games. It could get 9.5's off everybody and I would still wait for a price drop.
I almost lose $60 usd
Shall be pick this up tomorrow (out 31st for Europe).
That being said, i could never finish one due to a lack of interest the further i got into one, but mostly because i always found the controls for climbing and combat very clumsy and therefore frustrating. He never did what you wanted him to do and chose not to in the situations where you were trying to escaping or avoid being detected. If it only had the smooth controls of the InFamous games. Combat was a mess too.
I was kinda excited for this one because of the new makeover, but over the last few days ive read about the same issues with controls. Also the lack of "assassinating people" is disappointing too.
I will get it eventually though.
But an 8/10 for a game I know is really probably a 9/10 or 8/10 at the very least, yep- I'm happy with that.
Good review, great game.
