GameSpot: "A resonant story, compelling exploration, and tense oceanic battles make Assassin's Creed III a rousing success."
I'm really suprised by all these 8.5 ratings I'm seeing for this. I picked it up at midnight last night and played for 9 straight hours and didn't even realize it, it's that good. I liked ezio as a character, but I'm enjoying the story more in this one. Haven't even tried the multiplayer yet, but if its anything like the last one I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love it too.
8.5 is a strong score.
It's clear that Gamespot (and many other online gaming sites, for that matter) took into account the bugs and glitches that are immediately being corrected with the day-one patch from Ubisoft. "The Bad: Too many bugs and glitches," Removing that from the scoring equation, AC3 should be reevaluated to at least a 9/10.
Whats wrong with an 8.5?
I'm just not getting all that excited by this one but the Naval combat looks ridiculously awesometastic. I kinda wish they'd kept that to flesh out a little more for a full Naval/Pirate game.
looks like Mass Effect 3, Dishonored and Borderlands 2 are the ones to beat. AC3 is out of the picture finally...:) hype over
