Okami HD Review | MMGN

MMGN: Released on the PS2 late in the console’s life cycle in 2006, Okami sent shockwaves through the gaming world, becoming an instant classic and one of the year’s most well-received titles. In Okami HD, the revered art style is brought to life and given the justice that 480p simply could not provide. If you’re not one for reading then I’ll sum up the review for you in a sentence – if you don’t have Okami in your game collection, then you need to buy it. Now.

The story is too old to be commented.

I have promised myself I will buy this game. £16 off the PS Store is simply too expensive for me. I think I will have to change my plan and just pick up the Wii version. I would have bought this for £11.99 tops.

the game is worth every penny

Good. Then I won't regret buying the same game for less than half the price on another platform, will I? It will be like double worth every penny.

i've had it for the PS2 and Wii and yes i would glady buy it for the PS3 to be able to relive it again this time in HD

Yeah you'll probably enjoy it either way but the Wii ver is not HD, for such an awesome game $20 is not much plus the game is not short!

Its just the fact Beyond Good and Evil is around the £10 mark, SOTC is around the £12 mark when it is sold seperately on the PS Store, Jet Set Radio is below £10 I believe, The Splinter Cell games individually are priced under £10 each. These are all HD versions of last gen games. Heck, even MGS2 and 3 are £12 a piece.

I just don't see why Capcom charge £16 for their last gen games in the same way I don't see why CoD should cost more than current gen games. £12 seems like the accepted price for these sort of games.

Capcom is greedy!
Take RE4 and Code Veronica as an example, they both are last gen and from Capcom!

It was already beautiful before. It will be even more beautiful in HD.

When I saw Sony demo the Move at E3 3 or 4 years ago, this was the very first game I thought of would be perfect for Sony's motion controller. I also thought back on the PS2 this was singlely the system's best looking game. Now that it's been remastered WITH Move support, I think 20 dollars (I reside in the US) is a bargain price for what, simply is one of the best games ever made. R.I.P. Clover, you shall be missed.

I couldn't find this game on the PS store, where is it?

Sephiroushin2116d ago

Wait a few hours 'till the PSN store gets updated ...
I'd say from 2 to 4 hrs until update.
