Okami HD Review | IGN

IGN writes:

"Okami was without doubt one of the PlayStation 2’s finest hours. A majestic riff on the Zelda archetype, its sprawling adventure was steeped in traditional Japanese culture, folklore and art, making it one of the most distinct yet holistic titles on the system. Okami HD represents the definitive version of the game, elevating its already incredible art direction to new heights. Simply put, Okami was destined to be played in 1080p, and here it is." (Okami HD, PS3) 9.4/10

Oh brother, you are in for a treat. When I play games, I tend to take breaks now and then, but with this game I just couldn't put it down. Ignore the portion of this review that states there are too many things to collect, and collect them! You owe it to the developers and yourself to lengthen the experience because you will be very disappointed when it finally ends. It's a world that will capture your imagination and you won't want it to let go. I spent 108 hours on Okami and every second was bliss. If there's one cell of the child you once were lurking within, then this game will bring it into sharp focus.

I remember when I first played it and after like 2 or 3 hours in you beat that boss. I was like sweet, that was a good game, short but good. THEN it opens up to be this huge RPG and actually begins, it blew my mind.

Can't wait to finally beat it and gather some trophies at the same time :)

Yeah, there are at least three points in this game that you honestly believe you've almost finished it and then suddenly it opens up more. It's a game that never stops giving. It's like Dragons Quest 8 in that respect. A must buy!
