Denny's ad rips off Beck song from Sound Shapes

In a new television spot, Denny's uses a song that sounds suspiciously like a track from the first Beck level in Sound Shapes. (Culture, Industry, PS Vita, PS3, Sound Shapes)

I dont know the law
but after the scandal that was hughey lewis and ray parker jr, i think it takes more than just sounding similar to build a case.

I mean, i have listened to ghostbusters and I want a new drug so many times that I cant see the similarity in the two. the rythm and pacing are different but they share the same beat.

There are countless songs like that.

people do this in adds all the time, even though I didnt watch this one its not a surprise.

I always hear stuff like that where you hear a song ripped off and then a few notes are different and then they can use a familiar tune for free without having to pay royalties. Happens with rock songs alot in cheap commercials.
