Selling itself like a AAA shooter, when in reality..meh.
We all know the power of great marketing done by behemoth's in the Industry like EA and Activision. Massive campaigns including billboards, television ads, internet ads, game features and much more. These methods can prove to do a lot. Look at Call of Duty and Battlefield, probably the two most hyped games out there which in turn bring in record breaking numbers.
EA spared no expense on Medal of Honor Warfighter. Full on campaign, all over the television and the internet. Bringing in real world tier-1 soldiers to talk about the game and their experiences, a fully fledged "The Controller" reality show, similar to what Battlefield 3 did and full integration with the ever-popular Battlelog website. Hyped us about the game all year long. -
