hard to say, as I'm still in the "opening sequence". I'de say that the combat really isn't that good for the moment, it feels really clunky, and fire-weapons are even worse.

that said, from looking at the trailers the combat looks to be at a batman-level. So maybe it gets better through upgrades and better weapons

Agree 100%. I was very dissapointed with AC2. The tech was amazing but the gameplay was a huge letdown. Specially the combat. It was just too simplistic, clumsy, and ultimately unsatisfying.

from what I played I would give a 7.5 or so, but from the trailers it looks to get much better later on.

about 2 hours I think, there were already quite a few really cool sequences. but the pacing is really slow and it has the "GTA/uncharted problem" where you play a nice guy and then f**king kill everyone when in gameplay, it feels even more disconnected than in GTA/uncharted.

otherwise the first missions are very stealthy, and coming out of dishonored it feels really off. and anyway at the end you kill everyone so it feels useless.

not saying it's bad, just pointing out the complaints, everything else is great, I love the setting, and music. I'm even really liking the characters.

@Hoje it's mainly gta4, I should have been more accurate with that. Nico was trying his best to keep out of trouble and get on with his life. Then you play the game and kill everybody lol.

Last I checked, you only killed mercenaries and pirates trying to kill you in Uncharted. Not a bunch of innocent people like in GTA.

The game has been out for 4 days for xbox360 pirates, so they are not lying about playing it.

...not pirates, believe it or not there are some small independent stores that don't have a problem breaking street dates...

I'm 6 hrs into it and as of right now i would give it a 7.5... I may rate it higher later on though...or lower...

I like the historical part in the AC series but i'm really allergic to the gameplay i really dislike the different missions and the game's mechanism.
i only played AC1 and 2 and i think they're extremely repetitive it's always the same thing happening you counter during the sword fights. The AI is retarded also.

To me this is the game of the year. And this is the game in this generation with the best structure in the gameplay: sandbox, great maps, free action, many hours of gameplay. Assassin's Creed is a game with an incredible and long experience in single player but also with a decent multiplayer. Not as many first person military shooters based on 30% of the entire game on stupid, short and mindless run and gun missions on trails and the other 70% on multiplayer. In these fps the single player campaign is only an excuse to charge 69 $ a game that has 6/7 multiplayer maps, which bought separately would cost less than half. I can live (and enjoy videogames) without Call of duty,Battlefield,Medal of Honor and other military shooters with insignificant single player campaign.
