I was pretty annoyed at Jay-Z being so overused in the game.

NBA 2K13 is a mess right now.The whole VC system is broken mine got switched to skill points due to some bug in the 2K server.Many owners are dealing with All star weekend bugs that ruins the whole mycareer experience...The game freezes on random moments......Blacktop is stripped down to only half court...

i have yet to play online how is the connection?

I haven't had any problems with online play. Have only played about 10-15 games online without any trouble. One game wa laggy for about 1 minute, but that's it. No disconnections.

Also, the others in my league have not complained about any issues
