Scared s***less: Making live-action web films for Halo 4 fans (interview)

Halo fans are picky, like Trekkies. After five Xbox and Xbox 360 video games (soon to be six with the Nov. 8 launch of Halo 4), a comic book series, anime, and eight novels, they have absorbed a huge canon about their favorite sci-fi universe. They have also dealt with the disappointment of a Halo movie by Peter Jackson that never materialized. So it was a little intimidating for executive producers Josh Feldman and Lydia Antonini to begin production on a five-part series that took Halo into a live-action web video series for the first time.

It's November 8th in Japan. Not sure why the writer would tell us Japan's release date instead of the 6th which is for everywhere else in the world, though...

TotalSynthesisX2160d ago

Yeah, disagree with me even though I'm stating facts.

You people are pathetic.

robavila952160d ago

Oh, I didn't realize they were talking about Japan. Woops.

marcmjm2160d ago

OKAY, I'd put a bullet in my head if I had to wait another 2 days for this incredible game.

Forward Unto Dawn looks like it was made by junior high schoolers, it looks bloody awful!

the trailers on youtube are barf inducing, so sloppy, horrid acting, cheese fest effects, this is going to do nothing but dilute the brand and make it seem downright ridiculous

SixZeroFour2160d ago

you forgot to add "i am the 1 percent" at the end

spicelicka2160d ago

You're a f**** idiot, and your ignorance is barf-inducing. Watch the damn series then come back and tell me. Ending of episode 3 and from then on it's freaking amazing, none of the things they showed in the trailers were actually in the episodes. Those trailers are side previews of the cadets, who are supposed to be pussies, and you find out what happens to them when shit gets real.

"dilute the brand??"

Lol, everyone on youtube loves it.
And the reviewers over at IGN like it as well, giving the latest episode a 9.2.

Even my friends, who are not keen on the Halo franchise, have fallen in love with the universe portrayed in Forward Unto Dawn.

With comments like that, I highly doubt you have even watched the series. The series is top notch, from the effects, to the acting, the production, props... Everything is done at a very high level.
