Does Hotline Miami glorify violence?

It’s kill or be killed, and killing is always gruesome. But then Hotline Miami turns around and deliberately slaps you in the face.

The story is too old to be commented.

And so f*cking what if it did? The most celebrated movies (pulp fiction, scarface, etc) has violence depicted as a normal everyday thing, and nobody wants to put THOSE under the microscope. And do u know WHY? Because it's not for children or sissy's. So, problem solved.

It's just entertainment. And the reason some find it entertaining, is because sometimes we entertain the idea of using violence AGAINST those who are violent towards us. But sometimes seeing it in entertainment form helps u vent, and realize that your not the only one who wants to crack some skulls open once in a while (especially when people f*ck with you). So get off your high horse, mr "journalist".

I think his point is valid. It is not the violence in general that is the problem, but rather that the motivation for violence is little to none. It would seem the narrative bothered him and did not give him enough reason to continue killing. I think that is a pretty valid argument.
