With less than a week away EA has yet to confirm whether or not the PS3 version of Most Wanted will support cross-buy. We reached out to see what the Need for Speed team had to say on twitter and reply we got from them was unexpected.
Go on Sony!
I'll buy if so
So will I. If they did this then I would be able to play home and away fulfilling one of the Vita's selling points!
Im thinking about buying a freaking Vita let alone just the game if they do crossbuy. I want a vita but i was waiting for many more game for it to come out but im not counting the games that im going to buy on ps3 instead because it has no crossbuy because im not paying for the same game twice
EA is going to wait till the vita version releases to announce cross buy, by the time the vita version is released, the PS3 version will more than likely retail at $39.99, matching the Vita price, so when that happens they'll promote it that if you buy either or, you get a digital version of the other
The Vita version comes out the same day as the console versions, October 30th.
Oops never learned the delayed rumor was reported false sorry
I'm getting this game for the Vita and getting it off PSN. If they offer this cross buy I'd get it on PS3 without question.
Why would they talk about it and get people excited until the last week? Doesn't make sence if anything it will put people off on buying the game if they don't do it.
What do you mean uncertain? of course it's not cross-buy or else it would've been announced by now. There aren't even any cross-features to warrant cross-buy.
if it has crossbuy i will buy it earlier but if not ill wait till it hits the $25 - 35$ mark
I noticed today that in the description for Most Wanted on the PS3's store it says that the content can be played on 2 consoles AND 2 portables linked to the account. Go see for yourself. Possibly just a typo though.
That is if you download the game from the PSN store. Downloadable content can be accessed from 2 PS3s, 1 Vita and 1 PSP system as long as the account used to purchase the item is on the system and the system is an active console on the PSN/SEN ID. Just remember, PS3 only content cannot be accessed on any other console other than a PS3. Same as Vita only content.
I'm bying the Vita version anyway. Love them good racing games on the go. Besides this NFS looks really great on PSV.
I'm getting it for the Vita also. Along with AC3 Liberation. Here's a video of both of them http://www.youtube.com/watc...
There will be less traffic on PS vita. So if EA go ahead with cross buy, that will be awesome!
It will have less traffic, but exclusive races in the Vita version. So I don't think there will be Cross-buy. If EA goes the same route that Sony went with MLB:The Show and discount the Vita version by 10-20 dollars when picking up both the Vita and PS3 version, that is better than nothing at all. I'll be picking up both the PS3 version and the Vita version on Tuesday with or without Cross-buy
Overall if they chose to go down this route it will boost the sales of the PS3 version of the game, once people have that and the vita version it opens doors for more customers to purchase DLC and passes. Less piracy too probably.
IF I ever get a Vita I'm getting this game. It looks to be the first real good Hand-held driving game. ( Not including the Mario Kart Games )
Sure, cross buy could increase the sales of the PS3 version, but at the same time, they will look at the Vita as bringing in no money. Sony may have to convince studios that cross buy has some incentives. (which im not sure of what they are)
I'd rather have manual gears and Logitech wheel support personally, it is a driving game after all!!
"EA Games, charge for everything"
I need to know this! I preordered the vita version but if I could buy the ps3 version and get the vita version free I would rather do that.
There is still no word on Cross-buy for this game. I doubt there would be one, it has to be profitable for EA and to tell the truth Cross-buy doesn't seem like it would be profitable to the publisher. The consumer seems to be the only one to make a profit, if done correctly.
Id love for this to be cross-buy. but i sincerely doubt it. it seems like most people agree EA isn't going to let that happen. I assume that most if not all cross-buy games will be Sony exclusives... lets hope not but... idk. Only the future can tell...
