This week, Zero Punctuation reviews Dishonored.
I strongly agree with the argument about the morality of the game. I don't play it as organically as I did in the first level. I feel a bit forced into stealth.
The game is good, but could have been much more. Obviously everyone is going to have a different opinion
I agree with a lot of his gripes, except that I actually enjoyed the dialog very much. You actually get to know Emily and Samuel pretty well over the course of the game, and I don't want to spoil anything, but it kind of becomes clear later on why the other members of the resistance keep a more utilitarian relationship with Corvo. Plus, I don't know if he just wasn't listening, but not all the guards walk around spewing "I'm a bad guy" dialog all the time. If you listen in on a lot of the conversations, many of the guards express their moral discontent with the orders they've been given.
