Will Wright's Spore will create quite a stir when it ships September 7 for the PC. But the Nintendo DS version could end up being just as much of a hit.
Maxis has put a great deal of effort into the DS version of the grandiose life simulator. They've decided to concentrate on the PC version's most compelling feature -- the creature creator. You'll make your own crazy monster, assembling paper-thin pre-made parts and resizing them. Then you'll take them out into the world and evolve them, interacting with other ludicrous beings.
Wired.com spoke with Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer of Spore, to get a deeper look into what makes the Nintendo DS version tick.
