They used the UE3 for that game Last Remnant. Wasn't that good to be honest.

This seems strange. Especially since its not to long after they showed the Luminous engine.

Interesting move considering they have the Luminious Engine, maybe that will just be for FF games.

Right. The Luminous Engine. Just like how they had the Crystal Tools. And the White Engine.

Square Enix sucks at making dev tools.

I'm guessing this is more for the European/Eidos arm of SE, not the Japanese side.

what do you have up your sleeve SE? reading the headline, I couldn't help but think of the abomination a gears/FF hybrid that could come from this, but hey you've made some pretty poor decisions in recent history so i wouldn't out it past you.

Eidos have created great games time and time again. They'll probably be the ones making use of this :)

It better not replace luminous.. UE4 is awesome & all for various square projects but luminous looks awesome too... Not sure how i feel about it if it replaces luminous.. I hope not cuz both on various titles would be much better.. I dont want all games having the same look

As long as the colors are vibrant and not Grey/brown it's all good.
isarai  +   1038d ago
I don't know about this, i mean their engine may not have produced the most cutting edge graphics, but the lighting features were something i really liked, i just don't see Final Fantasy or NIER looking as good as they do on unreal
