Video games have been advertised on television for over 30 years now. Here's a quick look at how these ads have changed over time and where we're at now.
LOL at that Berzerk Atari commercial... Man, that's even a bit beyond my time. We had an Atari, but I never knew about the commercials for it.
I just love how in the know the grandma was about games. She's like, "oh yeeeeaaahhhh, Atari!"
was when crash bandicoot was new to the scene. they did one with him in a car egging on some little old lady next to him. "Let's go grandma, you and me...booya" Game advertising was approaching the risky line that even companies like budwiser crossed with their funny bud light ads. then again, two different demographics between beer and video games but still funny on either side.
The Sega Genesis does what Nintendon't was funny. I actually remember seeing that on T.V. Really catchy too, kept clicking the replay button..
Old-school game commercials are the bomb. Playstation does xbox don't.
