Figured as much. Doom 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. Still I wasn't really too anxious to pick this up.

You can get the original and just install mods that actually will make the game look a whole lot better than the bfg edition.

As he said you can't buy it anymore, but come on id.... It's a 8 year old game that I have already payed for twice (bought the xbox and pc version back in the day). Do I need any more of a excuse to pirate a game?

And because of that, coupled with the fact that they removed the original Doom 3 from the Steam store I'm going to just torrent it, download the texture mods and call it a day.

None of the mods made for Doom 3 work on BFG. id Software have practically rendered years of hard work by their dedicated community useless. Don't waste your bandwidth.

This is for people who cant play it on PC, though there is a PC port

Its that simple, btw i loved DOOM 3 so i had to get it.
