New Game Network: "The stealth genre has gone into recession in the last few years, with series which traditionally provided stealth focused gameplay now sliding towards the more widely appealing action side of the fence. Gone are the Theifs and Splinter Cells that not only encouraged but required you to lurk in shadows and strike swiftly and silently, alluding detection and achieving goals silently and cleanly. This dearth of proper stealth games has left a hole in the gaming market, as no other genre can offer the same blend of tension and breath-releasing relief as you plunk the resting body of an unconscious foe into a well-hidden nook in an intricate level."
It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.
There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.
Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.
Dishonored's engaging lore, creative levels, and timeless gameplay are well worth revisiting for fans of the immersive sim and stealth genre.
Daily Video Game writes: "Xbox Store has just kicked off Arkane Studios publisher sale, offering up to 80% off on some of the best games from Arkane Studios, including Deathloop, Dishonored, and Prey for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One right now!"
