Interesting read , the guy basically parallels the history of the Gaming industry with the history of the Film industry in terms of commercial appeal. Basically pointing out the similarities between the highest grossing movies and the best selling games.

For example look at Transformers and look at COD both are loud, stupid and derivative with little depth but are huge money makers.
