"Take a look down at yourself. Unless you’re the invisible man, you can probably see absolutely everything from the neck down. There’s your torso. Your arms. Fingers. Elbows. Belly button. Feet. Toes. It’s all there for your viewing pleasure. Now take a look at your favorite FPS."

GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 leap up due to summer sales
Wow, good games never get old I guess.
CoD will always be a beast of a franchise, and how awesome is it that you can just boot it up or pop it into your Xbox and play, MS BC is really a neat feature.
I have a feeling it would make the player move much slower if you have to use up more processing power to make something like a torso or feet appear. I'm sure other FPSs out there have the whole body on screen but not many.
Soon as I read the article's title I thought "Mirror's Edge anyone?" I think it's not necessary in a FPS but I feel BF4 (which is made by DICE, same as Mirror's Edge) would be wise to do this or else COD might beat them to it. I think it would really add some more realism in a AAA FPS. If it's not in BF4, I think DICE will get that in soon as they make a Mirror's Edge 2. (EA approve this game NOW!!!)
I read an article a while back where DICE was talking about how Mirror's Edge inspired the climbing over low cover animation in BF3. It's funny I think that & climbing ladders are the only time you see your body in BF3 (except when handling guns of course.
KZ3 and Haze showed your legs and feet if you looked down enough. im sure theres many more, but thats just what ive noticed. i dont see why this author is all upset though. sure its nice to know the devs payed attention to detail. but does the ability to see your feet make it a better game? well not really. im sure itll be a common occurence to see our feet next gen
