STN - Wonderbook: Book of Spell Preview

STN:

Sony's Wonderbook has certainly had its ups and downs already and that's even before its release. The augmented-reality-based children's game/book was first shown off at E3, although many thought the publisher spent far too long trying to sell it to gamers in what turned out to be a rather unconvincing showing. Then a few months later during Sony's Gamescon conference, all of a sudden thanks in part to the announcement of support from BBC and series such as Walking with Dinosaurs, as well as the addition of mega entertainers Disney, Wonderbook was once again was looking like an interesting prospect. (PS3, Wonderbook: Book of Spells)

Wonderbook has had it's ups and downs? Am I missing something here? It's a really good preview, but that threw me somewhat.
